The haunting melody ripped through him. The sad tune
wafted through his subconscious, waking him from a solid slumber. It called to
his lonely soul as it echoed in the carnivorous room and through the winding
hallways of the large stone factory they currently called home. He shuffled
down the metal stairs, quietly so as not to disturb the performer and was
shocked to see his friend sitting at the large piano. Not wanting to be noticed
he propped himself against the wall and settled in to listen to the beautiful
music he had no idea Derric was capable of producing.
He had no idea how long he stood there transfixed by
the poignant harmonies. And then suddenly a melancholy tune almost felled him. Kranz
felt like a complete pansy ass! Here he was supposed to be a big strong leader
of this coven and a song had brought him to tears. Derric had a voice that
seemed to crawl into Kranz’s veins and pump through him. Derric was the
heartbeat Kranz was missing. However, he had done such a fabulous job guarding
himself from romantic entanglements that he had completely convinced the other
man they had no future together.

Oh so sad! I'm hoping there is still a chance for them
Nice Tease.
Oh wow! Please tell me you're writing a whole book about these two.
So. Very. Awesome. :)
Wonderful post. I think we've heard about these guys before. I'm with Dianne, a whole book would be great!
So emotional and beautiful... I definitely would love to read the rest of this.
Can't it be fixed? Can't he tell him the truth now? *sighs*
I do so hope the sadness goes and he can be happy again. Fantastic imagery in a great teaser
The use of the piano music is powerful. It manages what words and physical interaction often fail to do. Great scenario.
Surely there's always a chance, especially when Kranz recognizes the error of his ways!
Ahhhhh, but they do have a future together. He may resist, but everyone succumbs to hope. Loved it:) xo
