Unofficial Six Sentence Sunday

Welcome to my Unofficial Six Sentence Sunday!

Kranz was having the worst day of his life.

He’d been ceremoniously dumped by his long-time boyfriend for a much younger version. So he was homeless and jobless (he knew it hadn’t been a good idea to get involved with his boss). His car had been quickly repossessed and his bank account closed. He had cut off all contact with family and friends when he’d become Arnold’s boytoy and now had no one to turn to.

And his drunken hook-up at the bar resulted in his premature death and introduction into vampire society.

Flash Fiction Friday January 27

Flash Fiction

Welcome to this week’s Flash Fiction Friday. A picture may be worth a thousand words but not for us. We have a picture about which we write a story of 100 words, no more and no less. I am joined by some fabulous writers today who give their take on this picture. To see the other members click this blog link: Flasher Fiction Friday

Dane was acting like a petulant child.

This night was important, Tim was being honoured by his peers and clients yet Dane decided to throw one of his famous fits because it wasn’t all about him. Tim had suggested Dane wear the Calvin Klein tux rather than the Ralph Lauren and that quickly his lover had striped himself naked and then silently sat in the foyer.

With a beleaguered sigh, he grabbed his overcoat and took one last glance in the mirror to ensure his suit was impeccable, thinking this was what he got for dating a much younger man.

He couldn’t take hearing her annoying tone one moment longer – it was like fingernails on a chalkboard. Her incessant chatter was driving him absolutely, friggin’ crazy.

And she was doing it on purpose.

“If you promise to shut up and stop nagging me I’ll ask your brother out.”

Her triumphant smirk made him smile. “I mean damn girl, what are you his pimp now?” She rolled her eyes and when I removed my hand from her mouth, thankfully she remained silent. But I knew if I didn’t make good on my promise soon the torture would start all over again.

“No creativity, my ass!” Jamie arched a pen across his office.

“Stale. Predictable. Humdrum.” He tossed a highlighter.

“Conventional.” A permanent marker made the journey this time.

“Too homosexual,” he bellowed as the remaining pencils and pens in their holder launched across the room.

After a few deep breaths, he set to work. Finally he sat back and stretched with a chuckle.

****

He hid his smirk as his boss gushed to the executive team over Jamie’s latest effort. The jerk-off would never know these two beautiful creatures were the same two gays he’d vetoed from the previous ad proposal.

Jessa was his first plus-size model. She was fabulous, with none of the usual ego he was used to dealing with. Her ease at following his directions was almost too good to be true. He’d seen the gleam of awareness in her eyes. This usually set off warning bells. Rick was surprised to find his body responding. Last night when he’d been reviewing proofs in bed Dan had commented how lovely she was and it was a shame Rick never wanted to bring his work home with him. Jessa seemed to be the exception to all his rules and conventions.
