Flash Fiction Friday -- December 23

Welcome to this week’s Flash Fiction Friday. We have a picture about which we write a story of 100 words, no more and no less. I am joined by some fabulous writers today who give their take on this picture. To see the other members click this blog link: Flasher Fiction Friday

I held her in my arms, so very grateful to have this wonderful woman in my life.

With some clever thinking she had solved all of our problems. We would marry just as society dictated we should but we would be free to live our lives in a way that made us all happy.

She could be with her true love. She could have a family with my illegitimate half-brother and their children would inherit the title and lands from both our families.

And I could live my days in my scholarly pursuits and my nights with my stable manager

It actually looks like they are marrying for the right reasons. It's romantic in a twisted kind of way. Fabulous post Cyril! Merry Christmas!

Nice twist and true love wins out! Sometimes you have to work around societal norms. I'm glad they figured it out. Happy Holidays, Cyril! :)
