Flash Fiction Friday

Flash Fiction Friday
Welcome to this week’s Flash Fiction Friday. We have a picture about which we write a story of 100 words, no more and no less. I am joined by some fabulous writers today who give their take on this picture. To see the other members click this blog link: Flasher Fiction Friday

Eric couldn’t believe his eyes. He’d been staring at the photo for an hour and suddenly a lifetime of questions were answered.

He couldn’t believe his father had it all these years. Hell, he’d even kept the invoice from the PI. Eric didn’t know the name of the man in the photo with his mother but he did know one thing – he was definitely his biological father. Eric had thought his father was disapproving and distant because his son never lived up to his macho ways but Eric was artistic not athletic and he’d never ever be a lady’s man.

Aw man! We at least now he knows why he's not a jerk like his "father" I'm sure it's somewhat of a relief. Great read!

Poor guy. Would suck not knowing who your real dad is and what away to find out. Great post.

Oh very nice. I love it! I love the fact that he's found proof that he's not biologically related to the jerk.

Poor Eric! For some reason, I picture the discovery happening after he loses his mother and he's going through her memories and belongings. I'm not trying to be morbid, Cyril. It's just the feeling I got from the way you described it. I could picture that type of scenario. Great angle for the photo! :)

Or maybe he finds it with his "father's" belongings after he's gone. So many possibilities!

I loved this. Now he can be the kind of man he was born to be, not forced into being:) xo
