Tantalizing Tuesday is all about writing 200 word Tantalizing Teasers, inspired by a personal picture prompt to post on Tuesdays. The emphasis is on having fun, pictures can be anything that takes our fancy. I hope you enjoy what we have to offer.

We
both know this isn’t working, so I had some friends me move out while you were at
your thing tonight.
Thanks
for the gifts.
Hope
you don’t mind I’ve taken them with me.
Dane
Tim glanced around at the empty room, resisting the
urge to laugh at himself. He rolled his eyes and headed for the bar. What did
it say about their relationship that Tim was more upset with that he would have
to call in the decorator in the morning than the fact that his boyfriend had
left him?
As he sipped his scotch he thought about his life
over the past eight-months and he was rather embarrassed by his behaviour. He’d
used Dane for his beautiful youthful body and never really treated him as an
equal. He’d indulged the younger man’s whims, buying him cameras and equipment
when he’d said he wanted to be a photographer then, a complete computer system
when he’d changed his direction to graphic designer. He’d outfitted the office
with every art supply and electronic gizmo imaginable but Tim had never really
asked to see any of Dane’s work. Tim needed to grow up himself, perhaps this
was just what he needed.

I love it! So true. It says a lot that he's not upset by his boyfriend packing up and hauling ass. Also, I loved the introduction with the note. Skillfull story telling! Great TTT.
Wonderful job Cyril! I love it...the gifts and the flightiness...great job.
Excellent TT CJM. You can really feel the detachment. I feel bad for the one who packed up and shipped off, but I also want to give him a high five.
Well done.
Breaking up can be so painful, but they can also mean growth. You've portrayed that here so well, Cyril!
That should say: Break ups can be so painful...
Really well written and an all too familiar way of modern life
Breaking up with Dane was showing Tim a side of himself he probably didn't like admitting to. But he will grow and learn from it.
Excellently written. Well done!
The relationship was definitely one sided. Dane did the right thing. If your partner doesn't pay any attention to your work or at least be curious about it, then they don't care enough about you to stay. Great post!!!
Well hopefully he'll learn and grow but that doesn't always happen. Either way these two are better off apart! Great post!
I agree, looks like they both had some growing up to do. Maybe their next partners will benefit from that.
A lesson well learned. I hope Tim does. Great Tx3!
Nice that he takes responsibility for his part in the failure of the relationship. Nice teaser!
