Flash Fiction Friday

We have a picture about which we write a story of 100 words, no more and no less.

Heart breaking, Adam gazed across the chasm at his sister. Eve looked so dejected and he felt entirely helpless. Even though distance separated them he could almost feel her pain and loneliness. Her despair engulfed her and enveloped Adam. Their mother had always resented the deep connection the siblings shared. In a malicious outburst she had convinced their father to separate them. Eve spent her time among the austere land of the desert protecting their father’s worshippers. Adam spent his time among the lush blooming forest protecting their mother’s followers and fearing for his sister’s sanity with each passing moment.

Oh wow, what a flasher. So much sadness and so unfair for them to be separated.

Oh, no, what an evil father. It hurts to think of their separation.
