I didn’t know what made me step into the tattoo parlour, I’d never wanted one. In fact I’d always found them to be distasteful. Truth be told I walked by this old building every day and this was the first time I’d noticed the fantastic renovations. The converted factory was rather attractive and the interior was austere without being stark, a mixture of sterile and fashionable. There was only one person in the large shop and he gave me a welcoming smile. “So you’ve decided today is the day?” I frowned at the odd turn of phrase. I didn’t know what to say or do and just stood there speechless. The other man seemed to smile even wider and I was a little disconcerted with the fact he looked rather cherubic for a handsome young man. “Did you have a design in mind or would you rather choose from my exclusive assortment?” He lifted a massive portfolio onto the high counter and opened it to about the centre and turned it to face me. I flipped the pages a few times, skimming the drawings. I was about to turn the page again when a delicate blue swallow caught my attention.

Benson felt the walls closing in around him and tried to take some deep breaths but it was too late. The panic attack was in full bloom and all he could do was ride it out.

Penny found him sitting on the bed, eyes glazed over and he was as white as a sheet. She stepped over to him and set about tickling him. When he started laughing she encouraged him. “Come on silly! The paper work is filled out and good to go. Time to jilt the bride, right at the altar, for her brother.

“Time for a wedding.”

Kranz watched Melaina’s face tighten as she adjusted the binoculars. This was it, the fight was about to finally begin and there was no turning back now. A glance at Derric showed both the fear and the faith in his eyes. He truly believed in Kranz; believed in his ability to protect them all and bring them safely into the new era. Kranz was humbled to know that this whole group trusted him to protect them. So Kranz was neck deep in vampire hostilities and politics and now the battle was on. He was determined to save his new family.

He’d only been gone a few minutes and there was a strange woman in bed with his lover. Domenic seemed to be touching her in a professional manner after all, he was a chiropractor. Why had she come to his bedroom and not his patient rooms next door? When Jed took an angry step towards the bed a deep growl alerted him to the man in the corner. Jed hadn’t noticed him or the two others with him. When Dom had tried to explain how close the pack was Jed couldn’t comprehend it, now he was seeing the big picture.

The Sister

Peter felt like a dick but he wanted his sister gone. He hated keeping secrets but his family wouldn’t understand about his relationship with his partner. Peter grew up in a conservative small town. Rich was not happy sleeping on a friend’s couch. Peter tried to convince his sister to stay in a hotel but she said she wanted to spend time with her brother. She turned with a slight frown, “So mom said you had a boyfriend living with you. Where are you hiding him and when can I meet him? I promised to tell them all about him.”

The Shrink
As she stretched out on the funky lounger Douglas repeated his statement, “But tell me how you really feel.” The glare she gave him almost made him chuckle but he wanted to remain professional. He was pleasantly surprised when she’d agreed to his suggestion for today’s session. It wasn’t the first time he’d prodded in this direction but she constantly refused and he never wanted to push too far. He was so lucky she was so easy going with some of his more outlandish requests. After all not many psychologists would be so flexible by changing roles with their patients.

He tried to keep his mind on task and not on his friend’s fine ass. It was his sexual urges that had gotten him into this situation and they were definitely not going to help matters right now. It wasn’t fair Derric looked like a Hollywood heartthrob, especially now that vampires were all the rage with the young and gullible. He stifled a snicker and the not so young but even more susceptible. Derric’s fantastic features were not what he needed to be concentrating on at the moment. He had to find a way to convince these crazy vampires he was not their leader. There was no way he was the answer to their confinement. Everyone was counting on him.

Derric turned to see what was keeping him so he speed up his steps and decided to put all his doubts aside and concentrate on the skirmish to come. He wasn’t scared of the upcoming challenge as he would simply do his best. He was not afraid of his opponent or his followers but he was anxious for those who believed in him and showed their defiance. If he failed they would be severely punished – so failure wasn’t an option.

Craig laughed outloud at the mess Jay’s sister had made. She’d been told to stop snooping but she wouldn’t so they’d booby trapped their house knowing her curiosity wouldn’t be abated. The couple couldn’t risk her revealing their research. She wasn’t malicious just headstrong and curious, which is why she was dazed and sprawled on the floor of Craig and Jay’s bedroom, bound by red ties and sporting heavy black spray paint where she’d tried peeking in the mail slot. It was reminiscent of old-time cartoon blunders but this was a serious matter as thousands of lives were at stake.

Marcel was furious as he stared across the showroom at the black and white photo surrounded by scores of people. He regretted letting Doug talk him in to displaying his student’s work. Now instead of concentrating on Marcel’s fantastic Fall Collection everyone was talking about the background prop. His colorful fashions should be the only star tonight; not the gorgeous models, not the celebrity attendees and certainly not some student photographer!

Doug had been very persuasive when asking for the favor but it was going to take much more than a quick blowjob to make it up for this disaster.

Murphy rushed in and hunkered down under Jeremy’s desk. Before Jeremy could ask what was going on in sashayed Lisa. She was definitely on the prowl. She’d been warned about her behaviour and her attire to no avail. “Oh Jeremy, it’s just you here. I thought I saw Murphy. Man, I’m telling you that guy has a first-class ass. I mean seriously have you ever seen a tighter more luscious sight? And his package . . .” Her sigh was deep and fake, meant to show off cleavage but the action was wasted on him. When she continued to describe the gorgeous handyman’s assets he felt himself harden and hoped his reaction wasn’t seen. He felt a hand trail up his trousers, quickly unzipping him and delving under his boxers. He almost choked when Murphy took his pulsing flesh completely into his wet mouth and strongly sucked. Jeremy spent all his concentration trying not to moan and shoot down the back of the other man’s throat.

“Fine be like that. I can’t believe you’re acting like child and you won’t answer my question.” She flounced out slamming the door just as he let out a loud groan with his release.

Just how much had we had to drink? The thought echoed through Caleb’s mind when he woke. He was surprised to find Grace wrapped in his arms, he knew it was nothing sexual. They were friends. Well not only friends, more like siblings. They loved one another but not like that. This embrace was all about comfort. All about solace and protection. They’d run for their lives last night and as the events of the past few days rushed over him Caleb knew he and Grace had both been lucky to escape with their lives – others hadn’t been so lucky.

If Penny hadn't said something he would have let their families talk him into marrying her. Penny gave a bitter laugh and he couldn't quite meet her eyes as he whispered an apology for the punishing kiss he’d given her.

"You love my brother. The family will get over it when the heirs don't toe the line. Live your lives for yourselves. Be happy." When he met her eyes he found them full of encouragement and love and Benson knew he truly was gifted with a friend like Penny.

He stepped out the library doors and headed for his future.

He’d done the unforgivable this time. The gorgeous man sitting before him looked so sad and it was all because of his own thoughtless actions. Beechem’s apology had no impact whatsoever and he was running out of promises to make. Seeing such a strong man looking so devastated made him feel like an utter asshat. There was really no excuse for Beechem’s total disregard for his lover’s feelings. He had quickly pushed aside the guilt and misgivings and acted selfishly knowing full well how Jake would feel if he ever found out. Jake was often a kind and forgiving man but he had certain tenets he could not abide being disregarded. At the time, Beechem truly believed he had no other choice. He had known there would be repercussions but had immediately convinced himself that he could gain Jake’s forgiveness if he ever found out.

At Jake’s plaintive moans, he cringed and thanked goodness his employer believed in a great benefits package, which thankfully included same sex couples. Because the shit had hit and it looked like Beechem would be filling out a crap load of Employee Assistance Program forms for counselling sessions.

Heart breaking, Adam gazed across the chasm at his sister. Eve looked so dejected and he felt entirely helpless. Even though distance separated them he could almost feel her pain and loneliness. Her despair engulfed her and enveloped Adam. Their mother had always resented the deep connection the siblings shared. In a malicious outburst she had convinced their father to separate them. Eve spent her time among the austere land of the desert protecting their father’s worshippers. Adam spent his time among the lush blooming forest protecting their mother’s followers and fearing for his sister’s sanity with each passing moment.

Craig had surreptitiously taken the photo when Dunn’s eyes were closed. He knew Dunn loved him he had no doubt of his strong feelings. Dunn’s family had a legacy of military service and he followed the Don’t Ask Don’t Tell policy. Craig was fine with it but sometimes wished he could indulge in some public displays to show his affection. There was nothing wrong with their private displays! It was the simple acts he wanted to share most; the hand-holding, the quick hug or kiss. He wasn’t looking to grope in public. More than anything he wanted to squeeze the hand of the man he loved as he was recovering. If he had been conscious Craig would ask but this was a no win situation. If he went against Dunn’s wishes the other man might never forgive him but if he couldn’t claim more than friendship here at the hospital Craig was going to fall apart.
Dunn’s mother entered the room. Her sad eyes seemed to take in every minute detail. He got up relinquishing his chair to her and filled her in on the latest news from the nurse’s station.
She touched Craig’s shoulder, “Go on then, kiss him.”

Where should Adam start today?
Lisa’s skin was the perfect medium to showcase his latest design. His apprentice was always looking for new ink. She was also keen to learn the skills of their trade, thus the video camera. She turned her head sideways, “Maybe I’ll make a copy for Phil – amazing how horny he gets watching me get inked. Want one for Martin?” Adam didn’t want to hurt her feelings by telling her Marty would be far from turned on. He was supportive but his fear of needles was so pronounced Adam’s husband couldn’t step foot in the shop.

Lyman drove past the billboard every day and unlike the other commuters he enjoyed being forced to a standstill. He spent the minutes fantasizing his fingers were running the ice cube along the bronze skin of the gorgeous man sprawled larger than life for Lyman’s pleasure. He pictured himself tracing the well-defined muscles with first the quickly melting cube, followed by his tongue to lap the moisture.

A honk shook him from his reverie. Lyman was obsessed with the model for a goddamn air conditioning company. It was embarrassing! But the hard on he couldn’t control was even more so.

“Hey man, got a smoke?” David frowned and bent back to his book. But the boy didn’t take the hint and kept circling the bench. “I just want one.” David shot him a glare before trying to get back into his book. The teen kept circling the bench and David lost his concentration. “Look even if I had a cigarette you’re too young to smoke. Now can you please leave me to my book and this nice weather?”

“Dude, I’m 16 and I’ve been smoking since I was 13.” He circled a few more times and David rose from the bench.

This kid was pissing him off. All he’d wanted to do was relax and enjoy the warm weather during his lunch break and read the book he’d been waiting months for.

“Are you gay? How old were you when you knew you liked guys?” He was about to rip into the boy when the slightly slumped shoulders and sad eyes broke through his anger.

“I guess I was younger than you. I work for the crisis center if you’d like to follow me there.” David handed him his business card and the book about a young man’s identity struggle.

Beck didn't know what made him dig out the old photo. It had been five years since the summer spent at the cabin but for some reason he couldn't stop thinking about it. He regretted so many things from his past. The biggest was the way he had left things with Wynn. He had been a complete ass and his ex deserved better. It wasn't as if Wynn had surprised him when he’d asked Beck to marry him. Just because Beck couldn't come clean with his family it wasn't fair he had accused Wynn of trying to force his hand.

“Davey, stop messing around! This neighborhood is completely shitty and I’m not playing your silly games.” When Newell was greeted by silence his anger quickly turned to fear, his best friend would have given up the joke by now. A quick glance around the dark parking lot showed it was as deserted now as it had been twenty minutes ago when New had left the club. He once again tried Davey’s cell phone and heard the faint strains of Dancing Queen. He cursed his friend’s warped sense of humor. When he rounded another row of cars he saw Davey sprawled on the ground, brown spray paint spelling FAG across his immaculate white shirt.
Shit!
He had told Davey not to come outside alone as the violence around the club had been escalating, but  he was too stubborn to give in to anyone he considered a bully. New dialled 911 as he rolled his friend over to check out the damage. New wished it wasn’t too serious because the police hadn’t been very helpful the last time Davey had been attacked by a group of homophobic ruffians. A second later he realized this was no ordinary hate crime.

Davey was dead.

He looked intelligent, stunning with piercing eyes. They reminded him of the gorgeous man he’d seen the other night at his club. His heart started beating faster as he recalled the warmth of the other man’s touch. Jay had never seen him before, he definitely would have remembered him also. He laughed at the fact he was stiffing just standing here remembering a man he’d barely glanced.

Gregory watched Hale push his child on the swing and envied them their bond, the absolute joy they showed in each other’s company. Gregory knew what a tough time this family was having but looking at them right now it was hard to see how fresh the wounds were. Gregory watched as his niece approached the pair and asked if Hale would push her too. Hale glanced Gregory’s way as if to ask permission and helped Trina into the swing and positioned himself between the two children who excitedly chatted with one another. Thinking now would be the best time to approach him about his sister’s suggestion Gregory got up from where he was sitting on the ground and walked over to the little group and jumped right in, “So Barbara said you were looking for daycare so you can go back to work. I can watch her during the day when I have Trina. The girls get along and it’s not a problem for me.” Gregory saw the doubts cross the other man’s face. “Look I know a male babysitter is a little unusual but I work from home and I have Trina so it wouldn’t be a problem.”

Cain looked on as Twenty-Three stood guard over Ten who cuddled the infant Seventy-Six. The entire pod was enthusiastic over this latest incubation. The population was in a steady increase and the Environmental Response Detail was making great progress on the farming quads. Perhaps they could turn things around and once again be the thriving warriors they had once been. They would have to learn from their past and not be so arrogant. With patience and steady nurturing they would survive. Seventy-Six was their future and now that the cloning kinks had finally worked out things were definitely looking brighter.

Thomas held the faded picture in his hand and was assaulted by the memories. He and John had grown up together, joined the war together and died together. However, only Thomas now lived forever, haunted by the loss of his best friend, the man he had silently longed for but watched marry another and start a family. Over the years he’d made sure John’s descendants were well taken care of but he had always been involved from a distance, never getting close enough to make direct contact. That was until today.Thomas found himself drawn to a crowded, loud gay bar, a place he would normally avoid. He didn’t know what had made him step inside but as he turned to leave he collided with a warm, solid body. He found himself looking into a pair of eyes miraculously similar to his lost love’s.
Time seemed to stand still for Thomas, the world stopped existing and the only thing that mattered was the musky scent of sandalwood and nutmeg. But that wasn’t quiet right. John had had a slight scent of vanilla but then again Thomas did not possess the heightened senses he did now so his memory might be mistaken.

Elliot tried to hide his smirk. Last night his coworkers had thought it was a great idea to party like rock stars. This morning they were paying for it. He’d warned them to wait until after the trade show and conference to run wild in Sin City.

He briefly let his mind wander to Terrence, the top sales rep of their chief competitor; they would meet up later this week and indulge in their annual fling. But first Elliot had to get his rag tag team in shape to face a frantic day at his favorite event of the year.

Unofficial Six Sentence Sunday

I hope you enjoy my six sentences this Sunday. Because I keep forgetting to sign up every week I thought it was easier to simply create my own logo :-)

I'm playing around with another idea. Hope you ejoy this one!

Gregory tried not to eavesdrop, really he did but as he worked in the front office the neighbors’ voices carried and he heard every word as if he was part of the conversation. Ever since he’d moved in last year, he was privy to half their arguments and knew intimate details of their life. But it would seem that this would be the final one; she’d had enough and was leaving. Gregory heard the big man’s sobs and his heart ached for the child and his father. Brad was one of the nicest men Gregory had ever encountered and he’d been attracted to him at glance and was disappointed to find out he was married. Gregory personally thought they were better off without the selfish bitch and he would do whatever it took to make things easier for them.

“Darla what the hell have you done this time?” Stewart surveyed his once impeccable condo and regretted, not for the first time, letting his flighty sister temporarily move in with him. She’d been nothing but a headache to him from the moment she showed up with her well-worn duffel bag and her latest unemployment woes. Darla’s disruption to his normal routine caused him a relationship, not that he was upset to see Peter leave but he’d lost a few clients too. Family was family.

“Why does my place look like a tacky eastern brothel and where is all my furniture?”

Owen was both frightened and ashamed of the excitement he was feeling. He was bombarded with a myriad of emotions, reactions and sensations. Guilt and embarrassment were at the forefront but he also experienced a sense of euphoria. The anticipation was almost overwhelming and he felt lightheaded by the rush of it all. He’d never really had any secret fantasies and had always considered himself to be very vanilla in his tastes. Yet he’d never been so turned on in his whole life. This powerful man before him had turned over all the power and placed himself at Owen’s mercy. Owen did not want to dominate, hurt or humiliate him in any way. He wanted to pleasure him knowing that it would give himself pleasure as well. That amount of trust was scary, awe inspiring! No one had ever shown that much faith in him. This wonderful man not only said the words but followed the sentiments up with undeniable actions. Owen had been afraid to put himself on the line, to put his heart out there and yet he’d just been told in no uncertain terms that it would be in safe keeping should he decide to extend it.
